Removal
1. Drain the power steering fluid.
2. Loosen the tension and remove the pump drive belt (Fig. 16.25).

3. Remove the bolt and pulley from the power steering pump.

4. Disconnect the suction and discharge hoses from the pump.
5. Remove the bolts and power steering pump.
Examination
1. Check the pump drive belt for cracks.
2. Check the pulley for uneven rotation.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
2. Fill the fluid and bleed the hydraulic power steering drive.
3. Check the tension of the pump drive belt.
