Caution: Before removing the air bag module and clock spring, refer to Chapter - Safety Precautions for Servicing the SRS System, Air Bag Module, and Clock Spring.




1. Remove the steering column combination switch.

2. Remove the ignition switch (1).

3. Remove the ignition key reminder sensor in the lock (2).

4. Remove the ignition key ring antenna (3).

5. Remove the immobilizer electronic control unit (4).

6. Remove the steering column lock cylinder (5).

1) Insert the key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn it to the "ACC" position.

2) Using a Phillips screwdriver (small) or similar tool, press the ignition lock cylinder lock pin inward and then pull the ignition lock cylinder towards you.
