Removal the immobilizer control module
Model with 3200 cc engine
1. Remove the lower instrument panel cover.
2. Remove the immobilizer control module wiring (1).
3. Remove the immobilizer control module bracket (2).
4. Remove the immobilizer control module (3).
Model with 3800 cc engine
Caution: Before removing the air bag module and clock spring, refer to Chapter - Safety Precautions When Servicing the SRS, Air Bag Module, and Clock Spring.
1. Remove the clock spring and steering column combination switch.
2. Remove the immobilizer control module wiring (1).
3. Remove the ignition switch illumination bulb (2).
4. Remove the immobilizer control module (3).
Installing the immobilizer control module
Model with 3200 cc engine
1. Install the immobilizer control module (3).
2. Install the immobilizer control module bracket (2).
3. Install the immobilizer control module wiring (1).
4. Install the lower instrument panel cover.
Model with 3800 cc engine
1. Install the immobilizer control module (3).
2. Install the ignition switch illumination bulb (2).
3. Install the immobilizer control module wiring (1).
4. Install the clock spring and steering column combination switch.
