2. Remove the horn cover from the steering wheel. On some models, the cover may be attached with screws located underneath the cover.
16.2b. To release the horn cover from the clamp, first remove the lower part and then the entire cover
3. Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut, then mark the position of the steering shaft in relation to the hub to facilitate assembly and ensure proper alignment.
16.3. After unscrewing the steering wheel nut, apply alignment marks to the steering column shaft and steering wheel hub; this will ensure proper alignment during assembly
4. Using a puller, disconnect the steering wheel from the shaft.
5. To install the wheel, align the mark on the steering wheel hub with the mark on the shaft, then slide the wheel onto the shaft. Install the hub nut and tighten it to the torque specified in specifications of this Chapter.
6. Install the horn cover.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
