Disassembling the cardan shaft (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. Remove the grease nipple (1).

2. Remove the spring ring (2).

1) Apply alignment marks on the flange and cardan shaft. Then remove the spring ring.



3. Remove the shaft journal bearing (3).

1) Move the journal bearing to one side using the special tool MB990840 and remove the journal bearing from the opposite side.

2) Install the special tool on the other side and remove the journal bearing that was moved.



4. Remove the shaft journal (4).

5. Remove the flange (5).

6. Remove the propeller shaft (6).
