General information

When replacing lamps, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Before replacing the lamp, check the corresponding electrical circuit and fuse.

3. Do not touch the glass bulb of the lamp with bare hands. The fingerprint evaporates and settles on the reflector, resulting in poor illumination.

4. Remember that if the lamp has just been lit, it is very hot.

5. Check the condition of the contacts in the lamp and lamp socket. Before installing a new lamp, clean any traces of corrosion and dirt from the contacts.

6. Be sure to replace defective lamps with lamps of the same type.

7. When installing a bayonet type lamp, check that the socket contacts are securely connected to the lamp contacts.
