The direction of the headlight beam changes depending on the weight of the load carried by the vehicle. The headlight beam corrector switch can be used to adjust the distance illuminated by the headlights (when the low beam is on) so as not to blind oncoming drivers. Set the switch to the appropriate position depending on the number of passengers and the weight of the load in the vehicle (Fig. 1.19):
O – driver only/driver + 1 front passenger;
1 – all passengers (including the driver);
2 – all passengers (including the driver) + full trunk load;
3 – driver + full trunk load.
