This switch operates when the ignition key is in the "ON" or "ACC" (Accessory) position. The windshield wiper and washer are activated by moving the lever to the appropriate positions (Fig. 1.20).
O – off.
I – slow movement of the windshield wipers.
II – fast movement of the wiper blades.
On vehicles with variable interval windscreen wiper operation, the intermittent windscreen wiper operation interval can be changed (from 3 to 12 sec) by turning the control knob A (Fig. 1.21) on the switch lever. Turn the control knob toward you to increase the windscreen wiper operation interval.

Washer fluid is supplied to the windshield by moving the wiper/washer switch lever towards you (Fig. 1.22). Simultaneously with the supply of washing fluid, the windshield wipers are automatically switched on.
Caution! In cold weather, the washing fluid may freeze when it gets on the glass, which will lead to poor visibility. Before using the washing fluid, warm the glass with a heater or forced ventilation system (heater).
