Warning: The refrigerant is under high pressure. Do not loosen fasteners or remove any components until the system has been drained by a professional. Wear safety glasses when disconnecting fittings on the air conditioning system.


Removal



1. The receiver/dryer, which serves as a reservoir and filter for the coolant, is located in the front corner of the engine compartment.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure sensor (see illustration).

3. Disconnect the two refrigerant lines from the receiver/dryer.

4. Immediately plug the fittings to prevent moisture and dust from entering the system.

5. Unscrew the receiver/dryer and remove it from the engine compartment.

Installation



6. Install new O-rings on the pipes and lubricate them with clean refrigeration oil.

7. Install in reverse order.

Note: Remove the plugs only immediately before connecting the pipes. Do not confuse the inlet (marked IN) and outlet (marked OUT) fittings.


8. When installing a new receiver/dryer, add 30 cc of refrigeration oil to the system.



9. Pumping, charging and checking the tightness of the system must be carried out by the same workshop that discharged the system.
