Removal
1. Jack up the car and place it on supports.
2. After marking the mounting position of the components, disconnect the propeller shaft from the differential flange and tie it with wire to the underbody elements of the vehicle.
3. While holding the connecting flange from turning, loosen the large self-locking nut located in its center.
4. Using a puller, remove the flange and take out the differential drive gear oil seal.
Installation
1. Lightly lubricate the lips of the new seal and the contact surface of the connecting flange with universal grease. Using a suitable mandrel, seat the seal in its regular place.
2. Install the connecting flange and tighten its self-locking nut to the required torque (157÷220 Nm). The flange turning torque should be about 0.45 Nm with new or well-lubricated bearings.
3. Reinstall the driveshaft.
