Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
If your car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Remove the bolts securing the axle shaft to the connecting flange of the rear wheel hub assembly.

3. Using a pry bar, carefully free the inner end of the axle shaft from the rear differential housing, being careful not to damage the seal.
4. Remove the axle shaft from under the vehicle.
5. If necessary, carefully remove the seal by prying it with a blunt flat-blade screwdriver.
Installation
1. Install a new oil seal into the differential housing. A socket head of a suitable size or a piece of pipe of the appropriate diameter can be used as a mandrel when installing the oil seal.
2. Replace the retaining ring and insert the inner axle shaft journal into the differential, making sure the ring snaps into place securely.
3. Screw in the axle shaft mounting bolts to the hub connecting flange and tighten them to the required torque (55÷65 Nm).
4. Check the fluid level in the differential and make appropriate adjustments if necessary.
