Removing
1. Mark the position of the Lobro universal joint (Lobro) with respect to the connecting flange.
2. Turn out fixing bolts and separate the hinge from a flange.
3. Mark the position of the center clamp relative to the center section of the cardan shaft, and the position of the connecting flange relative to the rear section.
4. Give self-locking nuts and remove the central collar with a connecting flange.
5. Mark the position of the front center bearing bracket relative to the center section of the shaft, the rear bracket relative to the rear section. Remove the center bearing support bracket.
Note. The rubber pads cannot be removed from the bracket.
6. Using a special puller, release the front and rear center bearings from the assembly.
Installation
1. Fill the front and rear grooves of the center bearing assembly with multi-purpose grease, push the same grease into the boot lips. Make sure that the bearing is in the groove of the rubber cushion of the support bracket.
Note. The boot is installed with sponges towards the landing marks on the bracket.
2. Place the bearing assembly on the central and rear sections of the cardan shaft, - make sure that the mounting marks are aligned correctly.
3. Evenly lubricate the rubber seals of the connecting flange with a special lubricant included in the repair kit. Keeping the alignment marks, shaft center section and connecting flange correctly aligned, seat the bearing firmly by tightening the self-locking nuts.
4. Install and tighten the Lobro hinge bolts. And check the assembly for signs of leaks developing through the protective boot and connecting flange.
