Removal

1. Mark the position of the Lobro universal joint relative to the connecting flange.

2. Unscrew the mounting bolts and separate the hinge from the flange.

3. Mark the position of the center clamp relative to the center section of the driveshaft, and the position of the connecting flange relative to the rear section.

4. Loosen the self-locking nuts and remove the central clamp with the connecting flange.

5. Mark the position of the front center bearing bracket relative to the center section of the shaft, and the rear relative to the rear section. Remove the center bearing support bracket.

Note: The rubber pads are not removable from the bracket.

6. Using a special puller, release the front and rear central bearings from the assembly.

Installation

1. Fill the front and rear grooves of the central bearing assembly with universal grease, and push the same grease into the dust boot lips. Make sure that the bearing fits into the groove of the rubber cushion of the support bracket.

Note: The boot is installed with the jaws facing the mounting marks on the bracket.

2. Place the bearing assembly on the center and rear sections of the driveshaft, making sure that the seat marks are aligned correctly.

3. Using the special grease included in the repair kit, evenly lubricate the rubber seals of the connecting flange. Making sure that the seat marks, the central section of the shaft and the connecting flange are correctly aligned, tightly seat the bearing by tightening the self-locking nuts.

4. Screw in and tighten the Lobro joint mounting bolts. And check the assembly for signs of leakage through the protective boot and connecting flange.
