1. On the left axle shaft, place a 1 mm thick washer between the bearing housing and the end of the axle beam.
2. Install the right half shaft without the adjusting washer and ring, tighten the 4 nuts to a torque of 5.6 N·m.
3. Check the clearance between the bearing housing and the end of the bridge beam.
4. Remove the axle shaft and install washers with a thickness equal to the measured gap plus 0.05–0.20 mm.
5. Install the ring, lubricating it with sealant.
6. Install the axle shaft and tighten the nuts to 54 Nm.
