Rear axle reducer (1992-98)
1. Rear brake; 2. Disk; 3. Cable bolt; 4. Handbrake cable tip; 5. Half shaft; 6. Cardan shaft; 7. connector; 8. Hose; 9. Reducer
Removal and installation
Cars 1983-91
1. Raise the car and remove the rear wheels.
2. Drain the oil from the rear axle gearbox.
3. Remove the drums, disconnect the hand brake cable and hydraulic drive tubes.
4. Turn away nuts and extend semiaxes from differential approximately on 76 mm.
5. Apply orientation marks and disconnect the rear driveshaft.
6. Loosen the nuts and remove the gearbox by using a jack cart.
7. If necessary, secure the gearbox with the top nut and knock it out of place through a piece of wood, exposing the seal.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
9. Lubricate the split planes of the gearbox and axle beams with 3M ART N 8661 or N 8663 Sealant or equivalent.
10. Tighten nuts and bolts to the correct torque.
11. When finished, bleed the air from the brake hydraulic drive.
Cars 1992-98
1. Remove the rear brake disc and caliper. Move the caliper aside and secure.
2. Disconnect the hand brake cable and hydraulic drive tubes.
3. Turn away nuts and extend semiaxes from differential approximately on 76 mm.
4. Apply orientation marks and disconnect the rear propeller shaft, if necessary, remove the shaft from the gearbox.
5. Disconnect the wiring connector and hose from the rear axle (on car parts).
6. Loosen the nuts and remove the gearbox by using a jack cart.
7. If necessary, secure the gearbox with the top nut and knock it out of place through a piece of wood, exposing the seal.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
9. Lubricate the split planes of the gearbox and axle beams with 3M ART N 8661 or N 8663 Sealant or equivalent.
10. Tighten nuts and bolts to the correct torque.
11. When finished, bleed the air from the brake hydraulic drive.
