Using a spring scale, measure the hub sliding moment in the forward direction.

Caution: Avoid contact of oil, grease and dirt with the sliding surfaces of the pads and discs.

Clean the piston and insert it into the cylinder using a disc brake piston expander. Install the pad clamp and pad on the caliper and tighten the screw to 27±4 Nm. Start the engine, press the brake pedal hard two or three times and stop the engine. Rotate the brake disc ten times forward.

Using a spring scale, measure the sliding moment of the hub in the forward direction and calculate the difference between the first measurement and this one. Standard value: 56 N or less. If the value exceeds the standard, disassemble the piston and check it for contamination and wear, the seal for wear, and the sliding of the pin.
