1. On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, remove the caliper assembly, hang it on a wire and remove the brake disc.

2. On vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, remove the brake drum.

3. To ensure correct self-installation of the bearing, it is necessary to turn the hub several times. Then wind the cable onto the axle bolts (as shown in the picture), attach a spring dynamometer to the end of the cable and pull it horizontally so that the hub rotates 90°. The measured value of the hub bearing rotation resistance should not exceed the maximum permissible value.

Maximum allowable value: 3N or less

4. If the resistance force to rotation of the wheel hub bearing exceeds the maximum permissible value, replace the rear wheel hub assembly.
