Replacing the hub bolt (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, remove the caliper assembly, hang it on a wire and remove the brake disc.

2. On vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, remove the brake drum.

3. Use special tools to remove the rear axle bolts.

Note: On vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, the rear axle bolts must be removed near the spring retainer installation position to provide sufficient clearance for bolt removal.

4. Install a flat washer onto the new rear axle bolt and tighten the nut to install the bolt.
