Replacing the wheel mounting bolt (Mitsubishi Space Star)

1. Remove the front disc brake caliper and, without disconnecting the brake hose from the caliper, tie it to the front suspension with soft wire, without stretching or twisting the brake hose.

2. Remove the brake disc from the hub.

3. While holding the hub from turning with one special tool, use a second special tool to push the wheel mounting bolt out of the front wheel hub (Fig. 14.6).



4. Insert a new bolt into the hole in the hub and, screwing the wheel mounting nut onto it, press the bolt into the hub, while using a special tool to hold the hub from unscrewing (Fig. 14.7).
