Checking the starting force of the starter traction relay (Mitsubishi Colt 5)

1. Disconnect the excitation coil contacts from terminal M of the traction relay.

2. Connect the battery between terminal S and terminal M (Figure 7.16).

3. If the drive pinion extends, the starting force winding is normal. If not, replace the magnetic traction relay.
