Removal and installation
Note: The procedure for replacing the air filter element is given in the chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures".
− Before you begin removing parts, perform the following operations:
- a) (GDI engines) Remove the engine cover.
- b) (Engine 4G15-MPI) Remove the relay and fuse box in the engine compartment.
− The parts are removed in the order of numbers shown in the figure "Removing the air filter".
Removal the air filter (except for the 4G15-MPI engine). 1 - air intake duct, 2 - air filter assembly, 3 - air intake hose, 4 - air filter housing, 5 - air filter replaceable element, 6 - air filter cover, 7 - mass air flow sensor, 8 - air filter bracket.
Removal the air filter (4G15-MPI engine). 1 - air intake duct, 2 - air filter assembly, 3 - air intake hose, 4 - air filter housing, 5 - air filter replaceable element, 6 - air filter cover, 7 - air filter bracket.
Please note: Parts marked with "*" are made of recycled plastic, so be careful when removing and installing, do not hit them, do not apply force to them, and make sure the latches are securely fastened.
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- After completing the installation of the parts, perform the following operations:
- a) (Engine 4G15-MPI) Install the relay and fuse box in the engine compartment.
- b) (GDI engines) Install the engine cover.
