Removal and installation

Attention! On some vehicles, to remove the spark plugs, you will need to remove the equalizing chamber and other parts.

1. Label the wires for each spark plug (if there are no numbers cast on the wires).

2. Disconnect the wire by turning and pushing the tip towards you.

3. Clean the areas and remove the spark plugs.

4. Remove the candle.

5. Check the gap between the electrodes.

6. Adjust the gap (in spark plugs with platinum electrodes the gap is not adjustable).

7. When cleaning the spark plugs, pay attention to the profile of the electrodes. File the rounded electrodes with a flat file and adjust the gap.

8. Tighten the spark plugs to a torque of 25 Nm and put the wires back on in the same order.
