Removal the hatch





1. Remove the sunroof glass (1).

2. Remove the hatch switch cover (2).

3. Remove the sunroof switch (3).

4. Remove the ceiling trim.

5. Remove the sunroof switch bracket (4).

6. Remove the sunroof motor assembly (5).

Attention:
  • When removing the sunroof motor, the sunroof must be completely closed.
  • When removing the clamps, be careful not to damage the ceiling trim.


7. Disconnect the drain pipe connection (6).

8. Remove the hatch assembly (7).

9. Remove the mounting bracket (8).

10. Remove the front pillar trim.

11. Remove the instrument panel.

12. Remove the front drain pipe (9).

13. Remove the rear square trim.

14. Remove the rear bracket of the audio amplifier (long wheelbase).

15. Remove the rear air conditioning fan assembly (long wheelbase).

16. Remove the rear bumper corner.

17. Remove the rear drain pipe (10).

1) Tie a string to the end of the rear drain tube and wrap the fabric around the tie. Then remove the rear drain pipe.



18. Remove the rear drain pipe washer (11).



Installing a hatch



Caution: When installing the hatch, be careful not to move the hatch cable.


Note: When installing, tighten the bolts to the tightening torques shown in the figure.


1. Install the rear drain pipe washer (11).

2. Install the rear drain pipe (10).

1) Tie a string to the end of the rear drain tube and wrap the fabric around the tie.

2) Push the rear drain pipe through the hole in the wheel arch. Pull the cord until the rear drain tube appears, then untie the cord.



3) Install the rear drain pipe (short wheelbase).

(1) Align the marks (white) as shown in the figure and connect the return hose.

(2) Install the rear return pipe as shown in the figure.



4) Install the rear drain pipe (long wheelbase).



(1) Install the washer and adjust the position of the rear drain pipe as shown in the figure.



3. Install the rear bumper corner.

4. Install the rear air conditioning fan unit (long wheelbase).

5. Install the rear bracket of the audio amplifier (long wheelbase).

6. Install the rear square trim.

7. Install the front drain pipe (9).

8. Install the instrument panel.

9. Install the front pillar trim.

10. Install the mounting bracket (8).

11. Install the hatch assembly (7).

12. Connect the drain pipe connection (6).

13. Install the sunroof motor assembly (5).

1) Install the sunroof motor.

2) Connect the sunroof motor wiring connector to the sunroof motor assembly, and then connect the negative terminal of the battery.

3) Restart the sunroof motor.

4) Check the correct operation of the sunroof motor.

14. Install the sunroof switch bracket (4).

15. Install the ceiling trim.

16. Install the hatch switch (3).

17. Install the hatch switch cover (2).

18. Install the sunroof glass (1).

19. Close the sunroof glass completely.

20. Adjust the hatch installation.

21. Check the hatch for leaks.
