Removal the tailgate



1. Remove the trunk lid spoiler.

2. Remove the upper trim of the luggage compartment door.

3. Remove the tailgate emblem.

4. Remove the tailgate license plate holder.

5. Remove the spare wheel holder.

6. Remove the additional brake light.

7. Remove the rear wiper motor and rear windshield washer hose.

8. Remove the tailgate speaker bracket.

9. Remove the tailgate handle, lock cylinder and tailgate lock.



10. Remove the rear luggage compartment lid safety pillar (1).

11. Remove the upper waterproof trim of the luggage compartment lid (2).

12. Remove the luggage compartment door waterproof trim (3).

13. Remove the luggage compartment door switch (4).

14. Remove the luggage compartment door panel bolt (5).

15. Remove the water-repellent film from the luggage compartment door (6).

16. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector (7).

17. Remove limiter A (8).

18. Remove limiter B (9).

19. Remove the rubber stop (10).

20. Remove the rubber stop cover (11).

21. Remove the luggage compartment door assembly (12).

22. Remove the upper hinge of the luggage compartment door (13).



23. Remove the luggage compartment door hinge cover (14).

24. Remove the lower hinge of the luggage compartment door (15).

25. Remove the luggage compartment door hinge cover (16).

26. Remove the tailgate striker (17).

27. Remove the tailgate striker cover (18).

28. Remove the rubber stop (19).

29. Remove limiter C (20).

Installing the tailgate



Note: When installing, tighten the bolts to the tightening torques shown in the figure.


1. Install limiter C (20).

2. Install the rubber stop (19).

3. Install the tailgate striker cover (18).

4. Install the tailgate striker (17).

1) Install the striker so that its center is offset from the center of the lock by no more than 1.5 mm.



5. Install the luggage compartment door hinge cover (16).

6. Install the lower tailgate hinge (15).

7. Install the luggage compartment door hinge cover (14).

8. Install the upper hinge of the luggage compartment door (13).

9. Install the luggage compartment door assembly (12).

10. Install the rubber stop cover (11).

11. Install the rubber stop (10).

12. Install limiter B (9).

13. Install limiter A (8).

14. Connect the electrical wiring connector (7).

15. Install the water-repellent film on the luggage compartment door (6).

16. Tighten the tailgate panel bolt (5).

17. Install the luggage compartment door switch (4).

18. Install the luggage compartment door waterproof trim (3).

19. Install the upper luggage compartment lid waterproof trim (2).

20. Install the rear luggage door safety stand (1).

21. Adjust the position of the luggage compartment door.

22. Install the tailgate handle, lock cylinder and tailgate lock.

23. Install the luggage compartment speaker bracket.

24. Install the rear wiper motor and rear windshield washer hose.

25. Install an additional brake light.

26. Install the spare wheel holder.

27. Install the tailgate license plate holder.

28. Install the tailgate emblem.

29. Install the upper trim of the luggage compartment door.

30. Install the trunk lid spoiler.
