Removal the door glass and window lift mechanism



Front door



1. Remove the door trim and the inner door handle cover.

2. Remove the inner door handle.

3. Remove the water-repellent film.



4. Remove the main power window switch (from the driver's side) or additional switch for electric windows (from the passenger side).

5. Remove the outer door trim assembly (1).

6. Remove the door glass guide groove (2).

7. Remove the door glass assembly (3).



1) Unscrew the door glass mounting bolts.

Attention: To remove the door glass, use a special tool MB990480 to avoid the glass falling.


2) Raise the door glass and attach the special tool as shown in the figure.



3) Remove the glass.

8. Remove the glass holder (4).

9. Remove the electric window lift and motor assembly (5).

10. Remove the window lift motor assembly (6).

Caution: Use caution when handling the window motor assembly as the spring force may force the wire out of the drum.


11. Remove the electric window lift assembly (7).

Long wheelbase





1. Remove the door trim and the inner door handle cover.

2. Remove the inner door handle.

3. Remove the water-repellent film.

1) Remove the additional rear power window switch.

5. Remove the outer door trim assembly (1).

6. Remove the door glass guide groove (2).

7. Remove the central door guide (3).

1) Remove the outer door seal from the center door guide only.

2) Loosen the screws securing the center door guide, and then remove the center door guide from the door panel.



8. Remove the door glass assembly (4).



1) Unscrew the door glass mounting bolts.

Attention: To remove the door glass, use a special tool MB990480 to avoid the glass falling.


2) Raise the door glass and attach the special tool to the door glass.

3) Remove the glass.

9. Remove the glass holder (5).

10. Remove the electric window lift and motor assembly (6).

11. Remove the window lift motor assembly (7).

Caution: Use caution when handling the window motor assembly as the spring force may force the wire out of the drum.


12. Remove the electric window lift assembly (8).

13. Remove the fixed glass (9).

14. Remove the fixed glass waterproof cover (10).

Installing door glass and window lift mechanism



Front door



1. Install the electric window lift assembly (7).

2. Install the window lift motor assembly (6).

3. Install the electric window lift and motor assembly (5).

4. Install the glass holder (4).

5. Install the door glass assembly (3).

6. Install the door glass guide groove (2).

7. Install the outer door trim assembly (1).

8. Install the main switch for the electric windows (from the driver's side) or additional switch for electric windows (from the passenger side).

9. Install water-repellent film.

10. Install the inside door handle.

11. Install the door trim and inner door handle cover.

12. Make sure that the electric window lift is working properly.

Back door



1. Install the fixed glass waterproof cover (10).

2. Install the fixed glass (9).

3. Install the electric window lift assembly (8).

4. Install the window lift motor assembly (7).

5. Install the electric window lift and motor assembly (6).



6. Install the glass holder (5).

7. Install the door glass assembly (4).

8. Install the central door guide (3).

9. Install the door glass guide groove (2).

10. Install the outer door trim assembly (1).

11. Install an additional rear power window switch.

12. Install water-repellent film.

13. Install the inside door handle.

14. Install the door trim and inner door handle cover.

15. Make sure that the electric window lift is working properly.
