Examination

Electric window lift motors are removed in the same way as mechanical window lift motors. Electric motors cannot be repaired.

If neither door glass moves, check the fuse in the auxiliary fuse box.

If only one window lifter does not work, then you need to remove the corresponding switch from the holder and check it.

If the switch is OK, remove the corresponding door trim.

Remove the plug from the window lift motor and use a test lamp to check if voltage is supplied to the window lift when the switch is pressed.

If no faults are found, then the window lift motor is faulty.

If there is no voltage supplied to the engine, then you need to check the wiring or the control unit.

Poor glass movement may be caused by jamming of its guide.

Actions in case of breakdown

If the window lift switch fails, use a piece of wire to connect the corresponding contacts in the plug. The necessary contacts can be determined by touching the wire to different contacts without fear of a short circuit.

If this is not possible, then remove the working switch, connect it to the window lifter plug and close the glass.

If the wires going to the engine are damaged, disconnect the plug, connect one auxiliary wire from the positive terminal of the battery and the other from the ground to the electric motor and close the window.

If the engine is blocked, you can separate the glass from the window regulator with the door trim removed.

Now lift the glass up and fix it in this position with a piece of wood.
