Adjustment when faults occur in the window lift mechanism (Mitsubishi Carisma)

If, when closing the glass, it suddenly begins to move downwards on its own, perform operations to adjust or replace the window lift mechanism.

1. Remove the door trim and waterproof film.

2. Remove the two screws and separate the glass from the power window assembly and check the force when manually raising and lowering the glass.

3. If the door glass does not move smoothly up and down without jamming, restore the glass guide or adjust the distance between the guides by loosening the bolts securing the lower or middle guide and moving them in different directions while tightening the bolts. If this adjustment does not produce the desired results, replace the entire door assembly.

Please note: The lower glass guide is not normally adjustable, however it is possible to move it outward slightly during reinstallation within manufacturing tolerances.
