Locking and unlocking from the outside
1. Installing and removing the key; 2. Locking; 3. Unlocking
To open the tailgate, turn the key and pull the door towards you using the outside handle.
To close the tailgate, lower it completely and turn the key to the lock position.
Note: On vehicles with central locking, locking/unlocking the driver's and front passenger's doors with the key also locks/unlocks the tailgate. Locking and unlocking the tailgate from inside the vehicle.
4. Locking; 5. Unlocking
The tailgate can be locked and unlocked using the central locking switch (driver's side), regardless of the position of the key in the ignition switch.
If the tailgate is closed or opened with the central locking switch (driver's side), it can also be closed or opened with the key.
Note
- (1) If the locks are repeatedly locked and unlocked for a long time, the central locking protection may operate and temporarily disable the central locking function. In this case, wait for one minute before pressing the interior locking button or using the key.
- (2) When the luggage compartment door is opened, the luggage compartment light comes on and goes out when the door is closed.
