Height adjustment

Adjust the position of the head restraints so that the top edge of the head restraint is at least level with or above your ears.

To move the headrest up, simply pull it up.

To lower the headrest, press the lock button and simultaneously press down on the headrest.

Adjusting the tilt of the headrests

Tilt the headrest toward you if you want to tilt it forward. Tilt it back to adjust it backward.

Warnings!
  • (1) Properly adjusted head restraints in combination with seat belts provide effective protection. Do not remove head restraints. Check the adjustment of the head restraints after someone else has used the seat.
  • (2) If you place a cushion between your back and the seat back, the protective effect of the head restraint will be reduced in the event of an accident.

Removal headrests

To remove the head restraint, press the lock button in the direction of the arrow and pull it up. To reinstall the head restraint, first make sure it is in the correct position, then insert it into the seat back and lower it down while pressing the lock button in the direction of the arrow.

Make sure the headrest height adjustment knobs are in the position shown in the illustration. Also pull the headrests up to make sure they do not come out of the seat back.

Warning: Do not drive the vehicle with the head restraints removed. Before driving, adjust the head restraints to the correct position.
