Experience shows that transporting children is safest in the rear seat in an additional child seat.
For effective protection in the event of an accident or sudden stops, the child must be properly secured with a seat belt or child seat, depending on the age and size of the child. Carrying a child in your arms is not an adequate substitute for a child seat. Infants and young children should not be transported on their knees or hands, as even a strong person cannot withstand the forces of inertia that occur in the event of an accident or sudden braking of the car. In this case, the child can be sandwiched between an adult passenger and elements of the car interior.
Warning. When installing a child seat, follow the recommendations of the seat manufacturer. Attach the child seat securely to the back seat of the vehicle using the anchoring seat belt.
The decal shown in the illustration is on vehicles equipped with a front passenger airbag. If your vehicle has this sticker, never install a child seat on the front passenger seat in which the child is positioned with his back in the direction of travel.
Warning. If necessary, properly install a forward-facing child seat on the front passenger seat, push the front seat as far back as possible. Otherwise, in the event of an accident, the airbag that deploys with great force may injure the child.
