This gauge indicates the temperature of the coolant in the engine cooling system when the ignition key is in the ON position (ON).
If the pointer arrow enters the red scale zone while the engine is running, this may indicate that the engine is overheating. Stop the vehicle immediately in a safe place and eliminate the cause of overheating. During the trip, make sure that the temperature of the coolant remains within the normal range.
Indicator and control lamps
Indicator and control lamps are located in the instrument cluster.
Turn signal indicator lamps - green
These lamps flash at the same time as the direction indicators are working
Note. Too frequent flashing of the lamps indicates an unreliable connection for the purpose of the direction indicators or a burnout of the direction indicator lamp.
Hazard indicator lamps - green
When the hazard warning light switch is pressed, all direction indicators flash.
Control lamp for switching on high beam headlights - blue
The control pact lights up when the high beam headlights are on.
Fuel Reserve Warning Lamp - Yellow
This lamp comes on when the fuel level in the fuel tank reaches the minimum reserve value (approx. 9 l). If the lamp is on, this indicates the need for refueling.
Warning. On vehicles with a catalytic converter, the fuel level must not be allowed to fall below the minimum allowable level. If the fuel is completely used up, the three-way catalytic converter may be damaged.
Control lamp of indication of inclusion of forward antifog headlights - green color
The lamp is on when the front fog lights are on.
Control lamp of indication of inclusion of back antifog light - yellow color
The lamp is on when the rear fog light is on.
Door open warning lamp - red
The lamp is on when it is not closed, or any of the side doors, or the rear (fifth) door
Brake Warning Light - Red
When the key in the ignition switch is in the ON position (On), this lamp lights up in the following cases:
- (1) The parking brake is applied;
- (2) The level of brake fluid in the reservoir of the hydraulic brake system drops below the minimum allowable level.
In the following situations, when braking hard, there is a risk of reducing the effectiveness of the brake system or loss of vehicle directional stability. Therefore, do not drive at high speed and avoid sudden braking. Moreover, you must stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact the nearest authorized Mitsubishi dealer.
- the brake system warning lamp does not light up when you lift the parking brake lever, or does not go out; when you released the car from the parking brake;
- The brake warning light stays on all the time the vehicle is moving.
If the brake system does not work or its effectiveness has decreased, then you must stop the car as follows:
- press the brake pedal with more force than usual;
- if it works (foot) If the brake does not work, to stop the vehicle, slow down the vehicle by applying engine braking and slowly pull the parking brake lever up. At the same time, press the brake pedal to turn on the brake lights to warn drivers behind you of braking.
Battery discharge warning lamp - red
The lamp comes on when the key in the ignition switch is in the ON position (On) and goes out after starting the engine.

Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp - Yellow
This lamp is part of the on-board self-diagnosis system that monitors and monitors engine, automatic transmission and emission control systems for malfunctions. If the self-diagnosis system detects a malfunction in one of the above systems, the engine malfunction indicator lamp lights up or flashes. Although the vehicle can normally be driven with the warning light on and does not need to be towed, you should have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Mitsubishi dealer as soon as possible. This lamp also comes on when the ignition key is turned to the ON position (On), and then after a few seconds it should turn off. If not, have the vehicle checked by an authorized Mitsubishi dealer.
Warnings
- (1) Driving for extended periods with the check engine light on can exacerbate damage to the emission control system. It can also affect fuel consumption and vehicle handling.
- (2) If this warning lamp does not come on when the ignition key is turned to the ON position (On), then have your vehicle checked by an authorized Mitsubishi dealer.
Fault codes that occurred during the operation of the car (especially related to the emission control system), are stored in the memory of the electronic engine control unit, which serves the self-diagnosis system. This data will be erased from the electronic memory of the unit when the wires are disconnected from the battery terminals, which will greatly complicate the quick diagnosis of vehicle malfunctions. Do not disconnect the wires from the battery terminals if the engine malfunction indicator lamp lights up.
A control lamp of indication of a low level of a liquid in a reservoir of a washer of a windshield - yellow color
