Side impact sensor (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. Make sure there is no rust or dents in the center pillar.

2. Check that the side impact sensor is not bent, broken, dented or corroded.

3. Make sure that the wire harness is not pinched, the connector is not damaged, or the terminals are not bent.

Note: The illustration on the left shows the left side impact sensor. The position of the right side impact sensor is symmetrical to that shown.

Caution: The SRS may not deploy if the side impact sensors are not installed correctly, which could result in serious injury or death to the driver or front passenger.
