Caution: Before starting work, disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery and wait at least 60 seconds. In addition, the disconnected terminal must be wrapped with insulating tape for reliable insulation. Never attempt to disassemble or repair the SRS electronic control unit. Replace it if faulty. Do not drop, hit or vibrate the SRS electronic control unit. If dents, cracks, deformation or corrosion are found on the housing of the SRS electronic control unit, replace the unit with a new one and dispose of the old one. After the airbags have deployed, replace the SRS electronic control unit with a new one. Never use an ohmmeter in the area where the SRS electronic control unit is located, use only special measuring devices.
