1. Check the SRS control unit housing and brackets for dents, cracks, deformation or rust.

Caution: The SRS may not deploy if the electronic control unit is not installed correctly, which could result in serious injury or death to the driver or front passenger.


2. Check the connector for damage and the terminals for deformation or rust. Replace the SRS control module if it fails the visual inspection.
