Actions to take if your vehicle breaks down (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

If your vehicle breaks down on the road, pull it over to the side of the road and turn on the hazard warning lights. Try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem using the instructions in the next chapter of this manual.

If the engine stalls or does not start

When the engine is not running, the vehicle's behavior and handling change significantly. Before towing your vehicle to a safe location, please consider the following:

• The brake booster does not work, so the force that must be applied to the brake pedal increases. Press the brake pedal harder than usual.
• Since the power steering is also not working, the steering wheel turns harder. Turn the steering wheel with more force than usual.
