1. Loosen the drain plug (A) on the bottom of the fuel filter.

2. Slowly pump the hand pump (B) 6-7 times to remove water from under the drain plug (A).

3. After water stops flowing out, tighten the drain plug (A).
4. Loosen the air bleeder plug and bleed the fuel system (see above).
5. Make sure that the fuel filter indicator light comes on when the ignition is turned on and goes out after the engine starts. If in doubt, it is recommended to have the vehicle checked at an authorized Mitsubishi service center.
Attention:
- Smoking and using open flames are prohibited while bleeding the fuel system.
- Wipe up any spilled fuel thoroughly as it may ignite and cause a fire.
