The rear window heating can be switched on when the ignition key is in the ON position.
To turn on the heating, press the button. After approximately 11 minutes the heating will automatically turn off. To turn it off earlier, press the button again.
When the rear window heating is switched on, the indicator lamp (A) comes on.
If the vehicle is equipped with a heated rear view mirror, it is switched on simultaneously with the heated rear window.
Note:
- The rear window heating is designed only to remove condensation, not to melt snow on the glass. Before turning on the heating, remove snow from the glass.
- To avoid draining the battery, do not turn on the rear window defroster while starting the engine or when the engine is not running. Once the glass is clear, turn off the heating.
- To clean the inside surface of the rear window, use a soft cloth, gently running it along the heater wires. Do this carefully so as not to damage the conductors.
- Do not allow any objects to touch the inside surface of the rear window, as this may damage or tear the heater wires.
