The engine compartment should be washed at the beginning and end of the winter season. Particular attention should be paid to edges, crevices and external components where dirt containing road treatment reagents and other corrosive substances can accumulate. If the roads in the area where the vehicle is used are treated with salt and other reagents, the engine compartment should be washed at least once every three months.
