Warning: Do not use organic substances to clean the interior (solvents, kerosene, alcohol, gasoline, etc.), as well as solutions of alkalis and acids. These chemicals may cause discoloration, staining or cracking of the surface of interior trim components. Before using cleaning or polishing products, make sure they do not contain the substances listed above.
Note: Be sure to read the instructions on the cleaning agent packaging.
Parts made of plastic, artificial leather and fabric
1. These parts must be carefully wiped with gauze or a soft cloth soaked in a 3% solution of neutral cleaning agent.
2. Rinse the fabric in clean water and wring it out thoroughly. Remove any remaining detergent using a cloth.
Note: Do not use cleaners, conditioners or protectants containing silicone or wax. These substances can cause glare on the surface of interior parts and lead to poor visibility.
Upholstery
1. To keep your car upholstery in good condition, handle it with care and keep the interior clean. The seats should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and brushes. If stains occur, vinyl and other synthetic leather can be cleaned with a suitable cleaner. To clean fabric upholstery, you can use an upholstery cleaner or a 3% solution of neutral detergent in warm water.
2. Carpeted floors should be vacuumed and stains should be removed with carpet cleaner. To remove oil and grease stains, use a cloth and stain remover. Choose a fabric that will not stain the upholstery when cleaning.
Genuine leather (optional)
1. Genuine leather upholstery should be carefully wiped with gauze or a soft cloth soaked in a 5% solution of neutral cleaning agent for wool products.
2. Rinse the fabric in clean water and wring it out thoroughly. Remove any remaining detergent using a cloth.
3. Apply a special protective compound to the surface of genuine leather.
Note:
- If water gets on natural leather, remove it as quickly as possible with a soft, dry cloth.
- To remove small stains on genuine leather, you can also use a leather stain remover.
- Do not rub natural leather vigorously with a nylon brush or synthetic cloth to avoid damaging the leather surface.
- Organic solvents such as petrol, alcohol and gasoline, as well as acid and alkali solutions, can discolor natural leather. Use only neutral detergents.
- A dirty genuine leather seat may become moldy. Avoid the formation of oil stains on the skin and remove them immediately.
- If exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, the surface of genuine leather may harden and wrinkle. When leaving your car in a parking lot, try to park it in the shade.
- In summer, when the interior temperature is high, vinyl items placed on genuine leather seats may damage the upholstery or stick to it.
