Catalytic Converter — General Information (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

Three-way catalytic converter (working together with the oxygen sensor feedback air-fuel ratio control system) oxidizes carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (CH) and reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. When the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio is maintained, the three-component neutralizer provides the greatest cleaning efficiency for three groups of substances, namely: CO, CH and NOx.
