Each fuse protects a specific circuit, the different circuits can be identified on the fuse panel.
Miniature fuses are housed in the fuse box. Compact fuses with flat terminals can be replaced manually. If an electrical component fails, first check the fuse. A blown fuse is easy to identify through the transparent housing. Inspect the fuse (see illustration). If a continuity test is required, the flat tips of the terminals in the fuse housing are exposed.
3.3. The condition of the fuses used on these models can be easily checked visually
When replacing a blown fuse, make sure to install the correct fuse type. Fuses of different amperage ratings are not interchangeable. Installing a fuse of a lower or higher amperage than specified is not recommended. The amperage rating of each fuse is indicated on its body.
If the replaced fuse blows immediately, do not install a new fuse until the fault in the circuit has been corrected. In most cases, this is a short circuit caused by a broken or damaged wire.
