1. Repairs to the fuel tank or filler neck must be performed by a specialist who has sufficient experience in performing such responsible and potentially dangerous work. Even after cleaning and flushing the fuel system, explosive vapors may remain in it, which can ignite during tank repairs.
2. If the fuel tank is removed from the engine, it must be placed in a place where fuel vapors escaping from the tank cannot be ignited by sparks or open flame. Be especially careful in a garage where gas appliances are used.
