1. Remove the heat insulators (see illustration 18.2).
2. Disconnect the oil return pipe from the oil pan.
3. Disconnect the oil feed pipe from the turbocharger and oil filter bracket.
4. Unscrew the air intake pipe connection bolt.
5. Disconnect the remaining hoses and electrical connectors from the turbocharger.
6. Unscrew the turbocharger mounting nuts and remove the turbocharger assembly from the exhaust manifold.
7. Fill the turbocharger with clean engine oil.

8. Install in reverse order. Use new gaskets.
