Note: The following procedure is for the windshield wiper arms. Removal and installation of the rear wiper elements on the Diamante Wagon and Mirage Hatchback models is similar.

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!

2. Remove the protective cap and loosen the windshield wiper arm mounting nut.

3. Remove the lever from the rotary axis spindle.

Installation

Note: Pay attention to the marking of the levers - the driver's assembly is marked with the letters D or Dr, the passenger - A or As. The marking is applied to the lower part of the lever base.

1. Place the windshield wiper arm on the drive mechanism pivot shaft spindle - make sure that the installed windshield wiper blades in the parking position are approximately 2.5 cm from the trim molding.

2. Screw on the fastening nut and tighten it to the required torque (14÷19 Nm).

3. Connect the negative cable to the battery and check the operation of the windshield wipers.
