A decrease in the amount of oil in the compressor system worsens its lubrication and leads to failure of the air conditioner itself. Too much oil increases the temperature of the air at the outlet. When assembling the air conditioner at the factory, it is filled with 120 ml of compressor oil. When turning on the air conditioner, the oil is transferred throughout the air conditioner system by the refrigerant. Some oil is captured and retained in various places in the system. When replacing some elements of the air conditioning system, it is necessary to add some oil to replace the oil lost along with the replaced elements.

Checking the system operation



The vehicles being checked must not be located in direct sunlight.

Close the high and low pressure valves on the measuring manifold.

Connect the charging hose (blue) to the low pressure valve and connect the charging hose (red) to the high pressure valve of the measuring manifold.

Caution! To connect the quick-release connector, press element "A" firmly against the service valve until it "clicks".


Caution: When connecting the hose, run your hand along the hose to ensure there are no kinks.




Attach the quick release connector (for low pressure) to the charging hose (blue) and attach the quick release connector (for high pressure) to the charging hose (red).

Attention! The high pressure service valve is located on the air conditioner pipe, and the low pressure service valve is on the suction hose.


Connect the quick connector (low pressure) to the low pressure service valve and the quick connector (high pressure) to the high pressure service valve.

Start the engine.

Set the air conditioner controls as follows:
  • air conditioner switch: air conditioner – on ("ON");
  • mode selection: "FACE" position (in the face);
  • temperature control: "MAXIMUM COOLING" position ("MAXIMUM COOLING")
  • air supply selection: "RECIRCULATION ON" position;
  • heater switch: position: "4" ("Fast") – ("Quick").

When the compressor electromagnetic clutch is engaged, the engine must be maintained at idle speed.



The engine must be warmed up (all windows and doors must be open).

Install the thermometer in the central air distributor grille and let the engine run for 20 minutes.



Caution! When turning on/off the electromagnetic clutch, read the thermometer before turning off the clutch


Note the value of the outlet air temperature.
