1. Disconnect the pitman arm and side rods from the rod.
2. Support the rod with a jack or stand (otherwise one of the tip hinges will be damaged).
3. Disconnect the rod from the pendulum arm and remove.
4. Install the rod in reverse order.
5. Tighten the nuts to the specified torques.
