Steering gear





1. Case; 2. Bolt; 3, 4. Hose; 5. Cotter pin; 6. Nut; 7. Medium traction; 8. Self-tightening nuts; 9. Steering mechanism


Removal and installation



1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle and remove the wheels.

3. Remove the cover, unscrew the lock bolt and the steering shaft clamp bolt.

4. Remove the bipod (see subsection 10.4.6).

5. Disconnect and plug the power steering pipes.

6. Loosen the nuts and remove the steering gear.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

8. Tighten all connections to the specified torques.

9. Remove air from the hydraulic steering drive (see subsection 10.4.12).
