Headlight Mounting Details (1983-91)

Early production vehicles are equipped with a non-separable optical element consisting of a reflector, diffuser, and incandescent lamp; late production vehicles are equipped with headlights with replaceable halogen lamps; the optical element in these vehicles is part of the body structure and has a simpler lamp replacement procedure.

Removal and installation



Cars 1983-91.



1. Remove the front grille from the vehicle.



2. Remove the turn signal lamp.

3. Remove the plastic headlight cover.

4. Loosen the 3 screws securing the outer frame, turn and remove the frame.

5. Remove the headlight and disconnect the wires. Replace the bulb and install the headlight.

Cars 1992-98.





1. Loosen the screws (2), remove the spring (1) and remove the front lamp combination (indicator and turn signal repeater).

2. On the left side you need to remove the tank.

3. Remove the front grille from the vehicle.

4. Unscrew the 2 bolts and 2 nuts securing the headlight (1 – nut on the inside, 2 – bolt on the outside).

5. Remove the headlight and disconnect the wires.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
