Warning! The models of vehicles covered in this manual are equipped with a supplemental restraint system (SRS). Before performing any work near the air bag unit, steering column or instrument panel, turn off the SRS to avoid injury from accidental deployment (see Section Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) - General Information and Precautions). The SRS circuit wiring is easily identified by the yellow color of the insulation.


Removal



1. Using the switch, move the headlights to the raised position.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!


3. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the upper and lower sections of the headlight trim.

4. Loosen the screws and remove the headlight mounting ring.

5. Partially release the headlight from the body panel and disconnect the electrical wiring from it.

6. Remove the headlight assembly from the vehicle.

Installation



1. Connect the electrical wiring to the headlight.

2. Install the headlight unit in its regular place and secure it with the mounting ring and screws.

3. Install the assembly trim sections. Screw in and tighten the mounting screws.
