Checking the oil pump thermostat (Mitsubishi Pajero 1)

1. Remove the thermostat from the oil filter bracket.



2. Measure the distance "A" between the valve support surface (1) and the end of the threaded part of the thermostat housing at ambient temperature and after heating to 100°C in an oil bath, which should be 34.5 and 40 mm, respectively.

3. Rotate the crankshaft for 10 seconds.
