Cooling system sensors on 3.5L engines
1. Fan thermal switch
2. Air conditioner thermostat switch
3. Liquid temperature sensor for the processor unit
4. Liquid temperature indicator sensor
The sensor is screwed into the intake manifold; on the 1983-85 4D55 diesel, the sensor is screwed into the cylinder head.
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the ground and drain the liquid.
2. Disconnect the connector and unscrew the sensor.
3. Install the sensor in reverse order. Wrap the sensor with sealant.
Oil pressure sensor
Screwed into the lower front part of the cylinder block, either into the oil filter channel vertically or behind the oil filter horizontally.
